Dr. Ashley Gallagher, our Chief of Staff, grew up and currently resides in Marblehead, Massachusetts. She received an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and earned a DVM degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the New England Veterinary Clinic team, Dr. Gallagher completed a Small Animal Internship Program and practiced for twelve years at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC. Her special interests include surgery, preventive medicine, and behavior.
Dr. Gallagher created Polite Puppy, a manners and wellness care class for puppy owners. She believes that starting owners off on the right "paw" goes a long way in building a lasting bond with the owner and providing the best medicine for our patients. Dr. Gallagher is an advocate of the Fear Free movement and hopes to bring many of these techniques to the practice. She also shares her home with an amazing labradoodle, named Frank.
